I believe that every person is born dead in trespasses and sins (Eph 2:1, Eph 2:5, Col 2:13, cp Eph 4:18, 19) passed on from Adam (Ro 5:12) and that the "God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ...according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven" and that our salvation is "protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (1Pe 1:3, 4, 1Pe 1:5). I believe that men and women are saved "by grace...through faith; and that not of" ourselves but that salvation "is the gift of God not as a result of works, that no one should boast" and that our salvation reflects that we are "His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Eph 2:8, 9, Ep 2:10), that when we are born again from above (Jn 3:3) we become "a new creature; the old things passed away" and "new things have come" (2Co 5:17) so that the regenerated individual now is empowered to live a brand new way of life (Ro 8:13,Ro 8:14, Ezek 36:27), his or her works now a manifestation of that new life so that the lost will see those good works and receive a proper opinion of our heavenly Father (Mt 5:16), and that this individual will persevere to the end (Heb 3:6, He 3:14, Mt 24:13). I believe the basis of mankind's salvation is that "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life"...and that "He who believes in Him is not judged" but that "he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (Jn 3:16, 17, 18). I believe that God our Savior "desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1Ti 2:4), "not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance" (2Pe 3:9). I believe that the Gospel is "the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" (Ro 1:16). I believe that the basis of our salvation is that Jesus Christ "gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds" (Titus 2:14), that God "saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life" (Titus 3:4, Titus 3:5,Titus 3:6, 7), and that everyone "who hears (Jesus') word, and believes Him who sent (Jesus) has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life (Jn 5:24). I believe that we "were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from (our) futile way of life ...but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ" Who "was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for" our sake and that we "through Him are believers in God, Who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that (our) faith and hope are in God" and that we "have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God." (1Pe 1:18, 19, 1Pe 1:20, 21, 1Pe 1:22, 23).
